Mikkeller's Spontan series is 100% spontaneously fermented beer aged in oak barrels for 1 to 3 years in their barrel house in Belgium. It is made with wort produced by lambic producers. The Spontandryhop Centennial is created by generously dry hopping during the brew process, we have created a uniquely delicious and sour beer.
Some of the beers in this sale category may be close to or slightly past their best before dates, but are still safe for your consumption and enjoyment! Imported beers have been labelled and dated for their domestic market, hence the shorter stated shelf life. For export market, it's usually between 4-12 months depending on the style of beer. Please note that we take precautions to ensure all our beers are cold chained to avoid any deterioration in quality.
Founded in 2006 by current Creative Director Mikkel Borg Bjergsø and journalist Kristian Klarup Keller in Copenhagen, Mikkeller was initially based on the gypsy brewery ethos and continues this practise today. This rule-breaking cult brewery now also operates four brewing facilities - Mikkeller Brewing San Diego, Mikkeller Brewpub London, brewpub Warpigs and Mikkeller Baghaven in Copenhagen - as well as over 30 bars and restaurants across the world.
